The room immediately past the main entrance, Isiompasto is one of the most intimate spaces in the house. It features two traditional built-in beds – the mpasia – set into the stone walls as they have been since the house was raised in 1868. A private ensuite bathroom ensures your comfort, while a hidden door opens onto a small private yard, a secret corner of sky and stone that few guests expect to find. Of all the rooms in Artemis’ Guesthouse, Isiompasto perhaps best captures what it means to be inside a living 19th-century Zagorian home.
